Michelle has been cooking since she was old enough to be in the kitchen. Inheriting recipes from Mom and Nana, she learned the value of tradition and infusing food with flavour and love. By the time she was a teenager she was developing her own spins on dishes. She has worked in the food service industry for a whole bunch of years. She believes that families should be able to break bread (or tacos) together regardless of any dietary restrictions without having to go to multiple locations or sacrificing flavour.
In 2021 over a "Board Games and Brunch" with friends, she was encouraged to share her delicious concoctions with a wider audience... and the idea for Veg Head was born! She brainstormed what shape that might take... catering? a ghost kitchen? a food cart? She was telling her brother about it and he mentioned an old food truck parked on their Dad's property. Over several months, Michelle got busy developing and testing menu items, bringing an old food truck back to life and retrofitting it with an authentic tortilla press from Mexico.
With a whole lot of hustle and some sweat equity, Veg Head Food Truck had their soft launch in the late summer and was well received. Participating in markets and fairs, she began to diversify her offerings to include private bookings, take out items, and special seasonal offerings.
This year, Veg Head Killer Food is positioned to continue to grow and spread it's message with made-to-order, diverse, flavourful, and delicious food.
